How You Make DotOUT Great

Every event we drag out the large glass flower jar you see in the picture above. (Seriously – you can’t miss it — it is HUGE!)

Every event, you, our dedicated DotOUT members, surprise us with your generosity for Dorchester’s own–those special non-profits that make Dorchester so special and just so…well, gosh, darn Dorchester-y!

Dorchester businesses and allies sponsor DotOUT and all its fabulous events and parades and glitteriness. Their generosity allows us to return your event donations to those Dorchester/Boston non-profits whose missions align with ours–a ‘one’ Dorchester supportive of its LGBTQ neighbors and residents.

Sometimes, donations come in other forms. In 2014, we donated to the Victory Program’s Dinnerfest and welcomed their new housing opportunities in Dorchester.

DotOUT is entirely volunteer-based! And, while some of our significant others would question their “volunteering” for 7:00am float duty was really what they meant when consenting the night before, we all work hard to ensure that our love for all things Dorchester shines through in our actions.
