It’s FALL and besides those sporty things done outside at Moakley Park, we have politicking to do!
We’re at Savin Bar and Kitchen for our Endorsement Night 2015 on October 18. (Folks remember last time we were at SBK for an endorsement? Back in 2013, DotOUT members endorsed Senator Linda Dorcena-Forry (1st Suffolk) over State Rep. Nick Collins and Southie newcomer Maureen Dahill.)
This November, it’s a small race for the city, but an important one for Dorchester. Three of the city council seats serving Dorchester residents are up for re-election. Out of the five candidates for at-large, two Dorchester residents.
We all know our current mayor is from Dorchester. Some may have forgotten Mayor Menino rose through the ranks of Boston City Council and became the city’s longest-serving mayor.
All elections matter. All votes matter. YOUR vote matters more than ever in an “off” year.
As always, we’ll be sending out questionnaires again with our litmus questions.
As always, the BEST questions come from you, our DotOUT members.
HERE’S HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR QUESTIONS:
Please email your questions (and the candidate(s) they are for) to our main email address info@dotout.org.
You may also submit them online via our Google Form survey. (This is anonymous.)
We will select questions or merge them with others based on clarity and relevance to Dorchester and our community. We find most candidates are friendly to the LGBTQ community (but, if you have found they are not, please express that in your questions and cite examples).
We will keep you posted on our progress!
