Its that time of year again. DotOUT, Dorchester’s leading GLBTQ organization is launching into late spring/summer with our participation in these cornerstone events.
DotOUT in the Dorchester Day Parade
Sunday June 3rd 1:00 pm
Its the most diverse parade in the city and celebrates all that which makes it so special. DotOUT brings their float on in typical fashion with a salute to Dorchester in the form of a game show, the Dot is Right. We represent all that the GLBT community can offer to this great network of neighborhoods. Join us on the float, marching alongside or on the sidelines. The parade starts at 1:00 p.m. in Lower Mills at the corner of Washington Street & Dorchester Avenue and travels along Dorchester Avenue to the brink of the Polish Triangle at the corner of Columbia Road and Dorchester Avenue.
DotOUT’s annual Dorchester Day BBQ
Sunday June 3rd 4:30 pm
Cedar Grove Gardens
911 Adams Street, Dorchester
Amongst the flowers at Cedar Grove Gardens, we provide the grilled food, summer salads and beverages to our supporters. Always a favorite way for us to wind down from a long day of rallying support. We ask for a simple donation of at least $3 for our annual charity in Dorchester. Previous recipients have included the Historic Society, Kit Clark Senior Services, DotWell, the Boston City Singers and many more.
DotOUT heads to Boston Pride
Saturday June 9th 12:00 pm
DotOUT heads to the big streets of Boston proper to represent the unique diversity of Dorchester’s GLBT community. Bringing game show realness with our Dot Is Right campaign, join us on the float, march alongside or cheer us on the sidelines. This year we hear the parade route is longer stretching from Boylston through the South End, Bay Bay, Common, Beacon Hill to Government Center.
