Our Summer Solstice Tea Dance was bright and sunny and, as easily as a butterfly comes out of its chrysalis, morphed into a total success for our two Dorchester charities.
Thanks to all our attendees and sponsors at our 7th Annual Summer Solstice Tea Dance! Contributions and game raffle tickets totaled an amazing $2,000!
We’re so proud to donate $1,000 each to DotArt and Dorchester House. Combined with donations from our Summer Garden Party, we are also able to send donations to Dorchester Day Parade (which has warmly supported DotOUT for the past 11 parades) and Dorchester Historical Society.
This year saw a number of new allies and friends from the neighborhood. (You know who I’m talking to and you better email me your digits!)
We often forget to take pics when we’re having fun! We’ve got some zany selfies on our website and collection of parade and tea pics in our gallery.
We had sunshine, good music, great friends and games to keep the fun happening. Long-time DotOUT members tore themselves away from World Cup Mania to play some games in the back patio. “It’s just like being in Brazil,” said one particularly sassy corn hole thrower commentating on being at tea instead of in front of the TV.
Winners from the raffle and game prizes had a slew of prizes from dbar, the Stitch House, Tavolo, Avenue Grille, Ultimate Bootcamp, Zipcar, Savin Scoop, Public Body, Savin Bar & Kitchen, McKenna’s, Dot Dogs and Dependable Cleaners.
